End-of-Life Doula Support in Virginia
When someone you love is facing serious illness or the end of life, everything can feel overwhelming emotionally, practically, and mentally. Decisions come quickly. Emotions run high. Families are often exhausted and unsure what to do next.
I provide non-medical end-of-life doula support in Virginia, helping individuals and families move through this time with more clarity, steadiness, and dignity. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, presence, and practical support so you do not have to carry this alone.
My Approach to End-of-Life Care
I combine compassionate presence with grounded, practical guidance. Families need warmth, but they also need someone calm, experienced, and able to help them think clearly in difficult moments.
As an end-of-life doula, I support:
Advance care planning and end-of-life wishes
Legacy projects and meaningful life review
Emotional support for the dying person and their loved ones
Caregiver support to reduce stress and burnout
Vigil presence when death is near
Early grief and after-death guidance
This work is not about taking over. It is about helping families feel more prepared, more informed, and more supported during one of life’s most tender transitions.
Why I Do This Work
I came to end-of-life work after seeing how many families move through death feeling unprepared, isolated, or overwhelmed by decisions. I have also witnessed the difference it makes when someone has steady support, when conversations happen earlier, wishes are known, and families feel guided instead of lost.
That experience shapes how I work today, with calm presence, clear communication, and deep respect for each family’s values, culture, and beliefs.
Professional Training and Ongoing Education
I bring dedicated training and continued education to my work, including:
End-of-life doula and end-of-life specialist training
Advance care planning support
Legacy and life-review facilitation
Vigil sitting and non-medical bedside presence
Trauma-informed listening and emotional support
Grief and early bereavement support
I continue learning through education, mentorship, and hands-on experience with families. This combination helps me stay both compassionate and grounded in how I serve.
Who I Work With
I support adults and families in Virginia who are:
Living with serious or terminal illness
Preparing for end-of-life decisions
Supporting a dying loved one
Seeking a more personal, meaningful approach to this time
You do not need to have everything figured out. Many families reach out simply because they feel overwhelmed. That is enough.
What It Is Like to Work Together
Families often say they feel more settled just knowing someone steady is there. When we work together, you can expect:
Clear guidance so you can make informed decisions
Calm presence during emotionally intense moments
Respect for your values and personal beliefs
Reduced caregiver stress so you are not holding everything alone
My role is to help create more peace, more understanding, and more connection during a time that can otherwise feel chaotic.
